The story revolves around an IAS officer Avni. Avni comes to Shilaspura, a village in Rajasthan, to see a long pending project. Here in this village people believe in “Rakan “. Rakan is a kind of Demon. Rakan is basically like a monster. If Rakan enters into the human body then that human start behaving like a zombie, and he gets killed. The village is famous for its mining activities. People are afraid that if mining starts again and there is a crack in the Shilasthal rock kept in Silashpura, then the mayavi will come alive again and people will see the outbreak. Amidst all this, Avni is struggling with her problems. Something is not right between her past and her son.

Pramukh is the chief of Silasthal, who is also the mahant of the area. Pramukh has made everyone believe that Raakan is a monster he will kill everyone if the people of that village will go against him.
There is a battle between faith and logic in the whole story. Pramukh does not want the project to start in Silasthal. But Avni does not believe in this superstition. The story revolves around these things only. And at last many doctors and researchers try to find out the actual reason behind everything which was happening.
