The film was announced by the makers in October 2021. Earlier the name of the film was titled “The Last Hurrah”. Later on, the film’s name was changed to Salaam Venky. The film is all set to release on 9 December 2022 in the theatre.

Kajol Aka Sujata motivates her son by saying ” Zindagi lambi nahi badi honi chahiye” (Life must be large, not long). Euthanasia is “ichchhaamrtyu” as we call it in Hindi. He files a case in court for euthanasia and her mother is not ready for it.
