The Uncanny Counter Season One Plot Explained
The story starts when Mun and his family was going somewhere. His father received a call from his detective friend. He was injured and told about some danger. Later on, some people came and killed him. Meanwhile, Mun father was in hurry and their car met with an accident. His parents died and he was injured. Later on, the scene was shown after 7 years. Mun is living with his grandparents and today is his birthday. He went with friends to a famous Eonni noodles shop but when their turn came the shop was closed.
The owner of Eonni’s Noodles shop Ha-na received a vision. Ha-na with his friends Ga Mo and Mae-ok leaves the shop and went somewhere. Later on, something unusual happened to Mun and he was experiencing power in his body. The next day in school some students were bullying Mun and Ha-na came and saved him. Ha-na take him to a place where she told him about their real identity. The three are Counters who send bad people to Yung where they get punishment and afterlife things are decided. They told Mun that Cheol-Joong has taken his body and that’s why he has gotten the powers. They ask him to join their teams, but he denied being a part.
They give him some time to rethink. In school, Mun’s friends were bitten by some students, and they called him to help them. Yung’s group helps him in the fight. Mun is now ready to be a part of their group. Wi-gen is the leader of the Yung. She handles the boundary between the afterlife and the world of the living. Later on, we get to know that Ga Mo is the best friend of Mun fathers who died earlier. The scenes have made the situation very emotional and now he is like a mentor to Mun. Mun finds out that his parents did not die in a car accident, but it was a planned murder. Ha-na decides to help Mun to find out the truth.
With Muns old stuff she entered his memory and started to find out the truth. She later got to know that the Evil was the same who killed Cheol-jung. They all together fight with the fourth level of evil spirits. Finally, Mun met with his parents at the end, and they all get emotional. Wi-gen thanks Mun for helping in catching the fourth level of evil spirits and saving the souls that he has eaten. In the end, again the Counters started to catch the Evil spirit.
